1. Trees Plantation
Tree plantation will be done this month (August) in Sindh and Baluchistan. Due to the late arrival of rains in Thar and Baluchistan, it was delayed. In March this year, 2,200 trees were distributed in the northern areas. In July/August 2025, we distributed 14,000 trees in Sindh, including the Thar Desert areas, and Baluchistan.
2. Houses for the Homeless
We started this program four years ago, after the 2022 floods in Sindh and Baluchistan. With the overwhelming support of our brothers and sisters, we completed 1,009 houses and handed them over to the families (95% widows) — الحمد للہ. Work on 7 more houses is in progress. The largest number of houses were donated by Forgotten Women UK (396).
3. Water Supply Schemes
In total, 4,169 water schemes have been completed over the last 26 years. These are spread all over Sindh, Baluchistan, KPK, AJK, and Punjab. The cost of these schemes varies with depth, type of soil, and type of scheme given.
4. Karobar (Small Business Support)
186 people have been helped to start their own businesses. They repay the amount given to them through easy installments.
5. Wheelchairs and Tricycles
922 wheelchairs and tricycles have been provided to disabled and poor elderly people so far. Tricycles help them travel to their workplace and for shopping.
6. Sewing Machines
We run 16 sewing centers all over Pakistan to train girls and widows in stitching. The poorest among them are given sewing machines — 1,129 sewing machines have been given so far. These help these families earn a living by stitching clothes in their villages.
7. Orphan / Poor Girls’ Marriages
A meager amount of Rs. 25,000 or Rs. 20,000 (as funds allow) is needed by some very poor families to marry off their daughters. Even this small amount is sought with gratitude. 1,044 families have been helped financially so far.
8. Goats for Poor Families
3,600 goats have been distributed among families living in desert areas to help them get on their feet. Goats give birth to one or two kids every year, and those kids also start bearing young after two years — a very profitable occupation in desert areas where fodder is free.
9. Adopt a Widow & Her Children
You can help widows by sending money directly to a widow’s bank account. Currently, 145 widows are being supported by our worthy donors this way (minimum Rs. 10,000). We only indicate the most deserving widows — if a friend wants to support a widow and her orphaned children, we will provide the family’s details so they can be contacted directly.
10. Education in Thar and Baluchistan
We are thankful to Qureshi International Foundation for supporting 5 schools, and to the Malik family and friends who support another 5 schools. Pravalli Trust runs 19 schools in the Thar Desert areas and Sindh offering free education, plus 7 more schools in Baluchistan and one in a poor area of Rawalpindi — a total of 27 schools with free education.
The cost to support one school is Rs. 14,000 per month (a teacher’s salary), or Rs. 168,000 per year for a donor. The rest of the expenses are covered by the Trust.
11. Helping the Most Vulnerable with Small Monthly Support
About 48 widows and destitute individuals are helped on a monthly basis, receiving Rs. 5,000 via Easypaisa. If a friend wants to help one such widow by sending her Rs. 5,000 each month directly, we can share the family’s Easypaisa account number.
12. Technical Training
A new course started in June, training 11 young boys in tech skills. Previously, 48 students completed technical training across 5 courses. Each course runs for 3 months, with tuition fees and accommodation covered by the Trust. Courses offered include:
- Graphic Designing
- IT Office Assistant
- Spoken English with Gulf security
- AutoCAD
- Web Development / Designing
- Video Editing
- Digital Marketing
- Freelancing
- Quantity Survey
- Amazon Virtual Assistance
- Plumbing
- Electrical Work
In previous programs, we trained 97 boys in AC/fridge repair, 53 as electricians, 11 as motorcycle mechanics, 39 in computers, 62 as plumbers, and 40 as auto electricians.
13. Medical Camps
Two medical camps are held each month — one in Sindh and one in KPK. So far, 83 camps have been organized, providing patients with free medicines.
14. Technical Training Centers
We run 16 sewing centers to train women in stitching, and two computer centers to train boys and girls in computer skills. One center is in Hyderabad, where 152 people have been trained and 10 more are currently learning. The second is in the village of Lora, District Abbottabad.
15. Ramzan Package
This Ramzan, we reached 1,572 widows and destitute families — from Skardu and Gilgit, to 6 districts of Baluchistan, 8 districts of Sindh (including the Thar Desert area), flood-affected families in Punjab, and five districts of KPK. Each deserving family, mostly widows, received Rs. 5,000 in cash. This year, RRAI-USA was our biggest donor, helping 400 families. Jazak Allah Khair.
16. Masjid Construction
To date, we have completed the construction of 31 masjids entrusted to us.
17. Toilets
Thanks to Forgotten Women and our other generous donors, 370 toilets have been built for poor families in Sindh.
